- Outlander: Written in My Own Heart's Blood by Diana Gabaldon is the 8th book of the Outlander series and portions of it make up the second half of season 7 of the Showtime series. The 9th book in the series, "Go Tell the Bees I am Gone" was recently published. Seasons 1-6 can be seen on Netflix. Season 7 is available on Showtime. Season 8, the final season, is forthcoming.
